I love Lush and so do many others! I was surfing the web and these are some of the comments I found:
Lush has been my favorite soap indulgence store for a very long time. I got hooked on it when I spent a lot of time in Toronto, and my at the time boyfriend would get me bath bombs and melts and shampoos and smelly nice things. I can understand that some people get totally overwhelmed by the scent and the products when they go in there, but I adore the products. The only thing I haven't loved that I've used from there are the face lotions. Try the salt scrub if you need some facial exfoliation, and it's great on the rest of the body as well. My favorite soaps are Big Blue, Demon in the Dark, and Figs and Leaves. I am a Lush whore.
Yummy! I love this place. The products are so fun and unique. The gals that work there are so friendly and helpful and they want to go through the hand exfoliation process everytime and then run around playing with all the products. I just stocked up on my favorite items and spoiled myself. I am totally clean and exfoliated and moisturized now and I feel and smell great from head to toe (I did all this with a cocktail, that might be influencing my opinion a little... but only a TEENY bit). Great product and GREAT service!
I have to say I'm skeptical about the all natural skin products. I have oily skin and feel I need more.well a friend and I had gone into lush a few weeks back and I fell in love, I had two demonstrations and learned a few things, it was great. I took home the braisened honey, I believe It"s called facial mask, the charcoal ex foliating cleanser and a sample of the enzyme moisturizer . I could instantly tell the difference once I had used them, I'm very impressed and would definitely go back. The staff was extremely helpful not to pushy but very very happy to help, there amazing sales technique just made you wanna get more items because they made everything sound so great..very happy customer i I was...
First of all, it smells good. Duh. But I remember going into Bath and Bodyworks or something when I was in high school for my girlfriend (champ that I was) and being nauseated, blasted, sickened and beaten up the nose by the thick, assaulting chemical smell. Lush smells just as much, but you don't swoon or have flashbacks to your time in New Jersey. The sales associates immediately said hi, and then left me alone when I said I was just checking it out. When I asked for help later, one of them walked around and showed me every single product I wanted to see, one on one. She demonstrated them and let me smell, smear, stir, whatever. She explained every product, made suggestions, and was understanding to my concerns about cost. She was patient even when I fanned a few of her recommendations due to having sensitive skin on my face.Honestly, smelling like fruits, berries and nonsense doesn't interest me greatly. Using the highest quality bath products does, because it makes a difference you can actually feel. Well worth the money for their products, and a positively enjoyable sales experience.
I'm such a Lush addict. I came by to stock up on Happy Hippy (a grapefruit shower gel that can also be used as shampoo, and one of the few scented products that doesn't give my sensitive bf a headache). I went all out and bought the biggest bottle they have, because it's so groovy, man. While I was there, the cheery sales clerk asked me if I wanted to try a free hand treatment -- rub Lemony Flutter cuticle butter on rough patches, then exfoliate with sea salt scrub, and moisturize with Dream Cream. Oh my god, my hands felt SO GOOD afterward. And then she told me about a hand cream they make especially for doctors and nurses (and other people who do frequent handwashing) called "Helping Hands" which is designed to keep moisturizing after several washes. I work in a biology lab so I also do lots of handwashing and wear gloves, which makes my hands feel icky. I have about 4358072 kinds of hand lotion now, but once I use some up I'll be back to try Lush's version, because the sample I tried at the store was great. For quality products, helpful service, and fab little "parties" where you get free gifts and stuff, you gotta try Lush. The service and size of this store seem a step up from the Harvard Square location.
